Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan (DMUM) is a philanthropic and social organization dedicated to building support and funding for social, emotional, and physical rehabilitation programs for the children and families assisted by C.S. Mott Children's Hospital and Beaumont Children's in Royal Oak, Michigan.
I am so excited to be serving as the Executive Director during my fourth and final year of DMUM! To me, standing For the Kids extends way beyond that 24 hour event – it means standing FTK 365 days a year to support and empower kids to be who they want to be, while shattering the stigma around disabilities.
Please join me in raising funds and awareness so DMUM can continue to support life-changing therapies, so that the kids can take part in activites that many of us take for granted - like the ability to paint a picture, climb a tree, ride a bike, or to even converse with friends and family. It is an indescribable feeling to take part in some of those moments that forever shape and impact a child. A donation of even $3 equates to one week of social integration bowling for a child.
I stand for smiles and laughter, but most importantly, I stand For The Kids. What will you stand for?
I'll see you at VictorThon!
