Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan (DMUM) raises funds and awareness for pediatric rehabilitation programs at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor and Beaumont Children’s in Royal Oak, MI. Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan is the largest student-run non-profit organization in Michigan and I’m ecstatic to be a part of this organization! The wonderful therapies we sponsor offer children the unique opportunity to participate in activities that allow them to just be kids. The therapies include tree climbing, swimming, martial arts, dancing, bowling, creative coping, and many more.
I love getting to hang out with all of the kids we work with at the events that we hold. My favorite event (besides Victorthon) is always Pumpkin Carving. We all dress up in Halloween costumes, carve pumpkins, eat donuts, learn about the therapies that we help fund, and hang out with some wonderful kiddos.
In March, I will be standing on my feet for 24 consecutive hours (for the 4th time!!) with over 1,000 of my fellow students and friends to support the children and families who benefit directly from the programs we raise money for! Please consider helping me to reach my goal of $1000 for the kids!
