Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan (DMUM) raises funds and awareness for pediatric rehabilitation programs at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor and Beaumont Children’s in Royal Oak, MI. Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan is the largest student-run non-profit organization in Michigan and I’m ecstatic to be a part of this organization! The wonderful therapies we sponsor offer children the unique opportunity to participate in activities that allow them to just be kids. The therapies include tree climbing, swimming, martial arts, dancing, bowling, creative coping, and many more.
This is going to be my second year participating in DMUM and I couldn't be more excited for round 2!! I wanted to do more for DMUM this year, so I am now on the Steering Committee on the wonderful Dancer Engagement Team. I get to do wonderful things like plan dancer orientation, choreograph and lead the line dance, plan dancer bonding events, and many more!!
On March 25th, 2016 I will be standing on my feet for 24 consecutive hours with over 1,000 of my fellow students and friends to support the children and families who benefit directly from the programs we raise money for! Please consider helping me to reach my goal of $1000 for the kids!
