Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan (DMUM) raises funds and awareness for pediatric rehabilitation programs at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor and Beaumont Children’s in Royal Oak, MI. Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan is the largest student-run non-profit organization in Michigan and I’m ecstatic to be a part of this organization! The wonderful therapies we sponsor offer children the unique opportunity to participate in activities that allow them to just be kids. The therapies include tree climbing, swimming, martial arts, dancing, bowling, creative coping, and many more.
My personal favorite memory from last year's Dance Marathon was being able to take a break from school, laugh, and have fun with my friends, all while raising money and awareness for this great cause. This will be my second year participating in DMUM, as a member of Phi Delta Epsilon's DMUM Team. I had an amazing time last year, and I hope to do this same. Last year I raised $621 for the kids, and I hope to raise even more this year!
On March 24th, 2018 I will be standing on my feet for 24 consecutive hours with over 1,000 of my fellow students and friends to support the children and families who benefit directly from the programs we raise money for! Please consider helping me to reach my goal of $700 for the kids!
